As you may know, Dawn is highly involved in bringing the Bunge® bakery group into the Dawn organization. In the Netherlands, we are bringing a new Dawn manufacturing facility under the umbrella of Dawn, known as Dawn Steenbergen. Both projects are exciting, and these new Dawn people and facilities are expanding our ability to bring Dawn’s products and services faster and better to our markets, providing customers with more choices of good-tasting, quality products. It is a very engaging time for all of us.

A recurring comment from people new to Dawn will be, “I have heard about the culture of Dawn – their Circle of Excellence – and I thought it was a marketing message. Now, I know it’s much more than a message – it’s the way we work.”

It’s all about Dawn’s people – we strive to have the finest. Dawn’s products and services must meet or exceed customer’s expectations. We must know about our customer’s needs. If customers are not happy, just forget about the rest of the business, because in our business we have to keep good customers coming back for Dawn products every week – and that takes a total Team Dawn effort to make that happen. This involves all aspects of Dawn, including the internal support that efficiently assists all other Team Dawn efforts.

All of Dawn has heard us say, “We strive to be the best supplier to our customers, and every day we get a little bit better.” This self-fulfilling prophecy is confirmed by the famous French author, Victor Hugo, who said, “There is nothing like a dream to create the future.” And as we say at Dawn, “There’s no limit to what can be accomplished if you don’t mind who gets the credit.” Our intent is to grow Dawn by being very good at what we do. We ask God to guide us in this effort and we thank Him every day for His blessings.
