A Message from Our Chairman: Sharing Our Blessings Makes a Difference!
At Dawn, we are encouraged to ‘give something back’ by helping to make our industry, community and country better by volunteering and contributing to worthwhile charities while supporting each other as we work together. We do this in many ways. For example, Max Waagner who directs Dawn’s safety and environmental efforts also chairs the American Bakers Association Safety Board. Dawn also hosted their board meeting at our Home Offices in Jackson, Michigan this fall. In addition, a number of Dawn’s Distribution Managers serve on local baking association boards. Dawn People also serve in a wide range of faith-based organizations to help improve the lives of others.
By providing services to these and other important groups, Dawn People are strengthening their home communities. This people-focused spirit also helps make Dawn a great place. We all spend more of our waking hours at Dawn than anywhere else and it makes sense to help make this time both enjoyable and uplifting for each other. It is a key part of our culture to share knowledge and encouragement to make Dawn better every day. We see that happen hundreds of times every week as our people ‘give back’ through a kind word during a tough day or recognizing that extra effort it takes to build Team Dawn.
Dawn’s three pillars guide us in this pursuit –We know. We care. We can helpSM They support us, our customers and our industry in all that we do.
Thank you to the great People of Dawn for sharing with others. We all serve this great baking industry and we carry on God’s work by making the lives of others around us better in some way, every day.
Ronald L. Jones, Chairman
