Dawn Food Products, Inc., one of the world's largest independently owned bakery manufacturers and distributors, announced the appointment of Richard Knapp as general manager of its distribution center in Saint Cloud, Minn.

Knapp will oversee distribution operations of Dawn's complete line of bakery products in Iowa, Minnesota and North Dakota. Prior to joining Dawn, Knapp held senior positions with Food Services of America and International Multifoods.

Knapp holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts, and currently resides in the St. Cloud area with his wife and three children.
