JACKSON, MI (October 5, 2001) -- Dawn Food Products, Inc. is pleased to announce the recent acquisition of Atlas Bakery Supplies, Inc., of Jackson Michigan, a bakery distributor serving customers in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.

Effective October 5, 2001, Dawn Food Products is providing this market area with on-time deliveries of high quality, consistent bakery products, packaging, equipment, supplies and commodity ingredients, backed by outstanding technical support and attentive customer service.

In an effort to expand and improve bakery distribution service in the Midwest, Dawn Food Products plans to distribute to this market through existing distribution centers located in Detroit, Michigan, Chicago, Illinois and Louisville, Kentucky. These facilities will improve service to customers by offering an extensive line of bakery mixes, fillings, toppings, supplies and frozen products to the bakery industry.
