DAWN FOOD PRODUCTS, INC. APPOINTS KOWAL TO HEAD U.K. DIVISION

JACKSON, MI (July 19, 2001) – Dawn Food Products, Inc., one of the world’s largest independently owned bakery manufacturers and distributors, announced the appointment of David W. Kowal as Managing Director of Dawn U.K.

Kowal will be responsible for the business strategy, growth and profitability of Dawn’s UK business and operations. Prior to his appointment, Kowal served for the past three years as Vice President of Marketing and was responsible for the marketing and strategic management of Dawn’s in-store, retail, wholesale and foodservice businesses in North America.

Kowal holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and a master’s in business administration from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.

He is a member of the RBA Allied Congress, and is currently a board member of the IDDBA and the Dawn Distributor’s Advantage.
