Unifine UK Wins Bakery Supplier of the Year Award

Unifine Food & Bake Ingredients (UK) won the Bakery Supplier of the Year Award at the Bakery Industry Awards 2011 from British Baker.   The company, which has recently been acquired by Dawn Foods, picked up the accolade at an Awards ceremony celebrating all that’s best in the baking industry at the Park Lane Hilton in London.  The awards recognize achievement and professionalism across the baking industry, rewarding those companies and individuals who drive the industry forward.     Dawn CEO, Carrie Jones-Barber said: “Our great Unifine team is thrilled to be recognized for dedication to quality and outstanding service.  We work hard and always strive to deliver the best results for our valued customers and our teams.  To have this effort rewarded with an ‘industry Oscar’ is a tremendous accomplishment.”

Unifine is one of the leading European specialists in developing, producing and supplying value-added pastry ingredients. Dawn Foods completed the acquisition of the business from Royal Cosun in July of this year.   The Unifine business is being fully integrated into Dawn, with leaders from both organizations working closely together to implement an integration plan.

Dawn Foods sponsored the In-Store Bakery of the Year Award – won this year by Morrisons in WhinCheap, Canterbury.
