DAWN FOOD PRODUCTS, INC. APPOINTS BARBER AS
PRESIDENT FOR DAWN FOODS INTERNATIONAL

JACKSON, MI (July 19, 2001) - Dawn Food Products, Inc., one of the world’s largest independently owned bakery manufacturers and distributors, announced the promotion of Carrie L. Barber as president for Dawn Foods International.

Barber will be responsible for the business strategy, growth and profitability of Dawn’s international operations. Barber will also maintain her current role as Dawn’s Chief Information Officer. Her past experience with Dawn includes her role as a sales representative for Dawn’s Florida, Georgia and Puerto Rico market and a business development manager for Dawn Foods UK Ltd.

Barber holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western Michigan University, and a Masters of Management degree from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Illinois. Ms. Barber was a member of the Southeast Master Retail Bakers Association and is a board member of the Food Bank of South Central Michigan.
