DAWN'S FILLED BASE ICED CAKES WIN BEST OF BAKERY
AT IDDBA DAIRY-DELI-BAKE 2003

Dawn Food Products, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has received the Best of Bakery Award for its Filled, Base Iced Cakes from The International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association’s™ (IDDBA) Dairy-Deli-Bake 2003, held in Las Vegas, June 1-3.

The flavor that took home the Best of Bakery category was Dawn’s White Raspberry Filled Cake iced with Vanilla VelveTop™ Non-Dairy Whipped Topping. The contest winners were chosen by balloting from show attendees, and verified by judges from the IDDBA.

“We’re extremely excited and honored to be awarded Best of Bakery at this year’s show,” said Frank Sliwinski, Dawn’s Director of Marketing. “The credit goes to the entire Dawn team that works hard every day to understand the needs of customers, and develop new, exciting, and great tasting products to deliver on those needs. It was a total team effort.”

Over 800 new products were introduced at this year’s show, a 35% increase from the previous year. Dawn’s Filled Base Iced Cakes were up against nearly 200 other entries, which included new products from the dairy and deli department, as well as bakery.

Dawn’s Filled Base Iced Cakes have a variety of delicious fillings including Vanilla or Chocolate Bavarian Creme, Raspberry filling, or white icing. All cakes are iced with White or Chocolate But-R-Creme™ or Vanilla Velvetop™ Non-Dairy Whipped Topping. Cakes are available in white, gold, chocolate and marble, 1/4 and 1/2 sheets. The ease for quick finishing with borders, flowers and inscriptions for any occasion allows decorators to be twice as productive and will create more profit per hour.
