HFM – FOODSERVICE TO MEMBERSHIP

Honolulu distributor adds geographic strength to membership

JACKSON, MI (December 8, 2004) – Dawn Distributors Advantage (DDA), a marketing and buying cooperative supported by the leverage that comes from over $1 billion in annual member sales, announced today that the Honolulu, Hawaii-based HFM – Foodservice recently joined its membership.  As a DDA member, HFM joins a buying group that sells over 35,000 products with the Dawn and DDA label.   HFM services the Pacific region including the Hawaiian Islands, Marshall/Marinas, and Guam.

“The DDA and Dawn brand is a brand that customers trust, and we’re excited about the opportunity to distribute its products throughout the Pacific region,” said Barry O’Connell, president of HFM Foodservice.

HFM Foodservice, which began in 1962 as a flour-milling operation and expanded into marketing bakery mixes, will distribute bakery ingredients and products under the DDA and Dawn brand name from its 100,000 square feet warehouse space located in Kalihi, Hawaii.
