Higher fuel and energy costs cited

JACKSON, MI (September 8, 2005) - Dawn Food Products, Inc., one of the world’s largest independently owned bakery manufacturers and distributors, has announced that it will increase prices, effective October 1, 2005, across all manufactured product lines to offset increasing energy and fuel costs.

 “In order to maintain our level of commitment to our customers, Dawn continues to aggressively control costs, wherever possible,” said David Kowal, Vice President, Strategic Planning & Worldwide Marketing.  “Due to the volatility in the oil market, we are currently experiencing price increases in nearly every area of our business, which necessitates an adjustment to our overall pricing structure.”
