Dawn Foods Celebrates 90 Years

Event begins yearlong celebration

Jackson, MI – Much has changed since the Dawn organization began service in 1920 – but the company’s focus on the best people in the industry making excellent products and taking great care of our customers remains constant. 

Dawn Foods recently celebrated the beginning of its 90th year in business with a “birthday” celebration at its home offices in Jackson, Michigan.  Dawn locations around the world will also celebrate throughout the year.

“90 years is a significant milestone,” said Carrie Jones-Barber, CEO of Dawn Foods. “We work in a wonderful industry and have the opportunity to create amazing products that help people celebrate life’s important events every day. That makes it even more special when we get to celebrate our own important event.”

The kickoff celebration included comments from Dawn leadership, special recognition of 90 years with Dawn team members and a unique anniversary cake created by award-winning cake artist Courtney Clark of Cake Nouveau in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Courtney is currently sharing some of her cake expertise and creative flair with Dawn.

“Celebrating 90 years is a milestone we have achieved because nobody takes better care of our customers than Dawn People,” commented Ron Jones, Dawn Chairman.  “If it weren’t for our customers we would not be experiencing the success we have today.  We are thankful for every loyal customer who has honored Dawn with their trust and business over the years.”

Ron’s brother and Dawn Co-chairman, Miles Jones, added an historical perspective on the milestone:  “For more than nine decades Dawn has been served well by treating our team members and customers right.  This simple business philosophy will continue to guide us.”
