Q. Are Dawn’s bakery products kosher?
A. Yes. Each U.S. Dawn Food Products manufacturing plant is under kosher supervision. Please contact your Sales Rep for a copy of our kosher certificate.
Q. Does Dawn have any gluten-free products?
A. Dawn Food Products currently does not offer any gluten-free bakery products that would be suitable for someone with Celiac Disease.
Q. Does Dawn have any sugar-free products?
A. Dawn Food Products produces frozen sugar-free cakes, cake mixes and brownie mixes. We also manufacture No Sugar Added fruit fillings and frozen pastries.
Q. Does Dawn have any low-fat or fat-free products?
A. Dawn Food Products produces frozen low-fat muffins and low-fat bakery mixes. We also manufacture fat-free muffin mixes.
Q. Are Dawn’s manufacturing facilities nut free?
A. The manufacturing plant in Jackson, MI, is the only Dawn facility that is completely nut free. Our other U.S. manufacturing facilities have some nut-free lines, but all use nuts somewhere in the facility.
Q. What is the source of Dawn’s shortenings?
A. Because Dawn Food Products facilities are kosher-certified, we do not use animal-based ingredients. The shortenings and emulsifiers used in manufacturing are sourced mainly from soybean and cottonseed oils or other vegetable sources.
Q. Does Dawn make any GMO-free products?
A. Dawn currently produces a few GMO- free icings and fillings that are suitable for use in the United Kingdom and European Union.
