Dessert Island

We asked a Dawn customer to tell us what's the one thing he would bring from his bakery if he were stranded on a "dessert island." Here's what he had to say.

"Employees are the ingredient I couldn’t live without. I owe everything to them,” Lupo says.

Staffers play a particularly important role around the holidays, when customers flock to Grandma’s Bakery for cookies. “My workers understand that November and December are busy months—and that they may have to work longer hours. The fancier we make [the cookies], the more excited people get. They want that hand touch,” he says.
