Each year DBusiness Magazine, Detroit, Michigan’s premier business journal, recognizes female leaders in southeast Michigan who are driving growth and opportunities for and within their organizations. As a result of her efforts leading Dawn through the challenges of 2020, her commitment to business and team member growth, and her passion for driving success for Dawn and its customers, CEO Carrie Jones-Barber has been named a 2021 Powered by Women award recipient.

According to DBusiness, "the 2021 class, which was selected from reader nominations, navigated the worst pandemic in more than 100 years, economic uncertainty, and employee anxiety. Today, with COVID-19 on the wane, they're helping to lead their respective organizations into a safer and more prosperous future."

“I am proud to be recognized as a DBusiness 2021 Powered by Women award recipient alongside so many inspiring women leaders,” said Jones-Barber. “This group of women continues to lead their organizations through one of the most challenging times in the history of business, and I am honored to be included in the 2021 class with them. Thank you to DBusiness Magazine for the opportunity to share my own professional journey and a little about the history, future, and culture at Dawn.”

Other members of the class of 2021 include Denise Brooks-Williams, Senior Vice President and CEO North Market Henry Ford Health System; Collette Champagne, Chief Operating Officer, Hagerty; Lisa Drake, Chief Operating Officer, Ford North America; Marissa Hunter, Vice President, Marketing, Stellantis North America; Olivia Jackson, Managing Director, Accenture Detroit; Susan Koss, Partner & Managing Director, O'Keefe; and Deborah Wahl, Global Chief Marketing Officer, General Motors
