Give your viennoiseries, buns and brioches a non-sticky, long-lasting shine – without using liquid egg. Dawn offers different types of clean-label egg wash substitutes. Convenient and easy to clean, they enable you to reduce the risk of bacterial
contamination and give you more price stability.
- Liquid, ready-to-use solutions: Vegan-friendly Unishine Plus (use before or after baking) and Emulshine Extra Sugar Free (use before or after proofing, freezing or baking).
- Dry solutions: Instashine (use before baking) and our new addition to the assortment, Aftershine (use after baking).

Custard cremes
We’ve made it easy for you to create delicious pastries filled with decadent custard creme. Made with natural flavours – usually with a hint of vanilla and subtle sweetness – we guarantee a creamy, milky texture that melts in the mouth. All of our cremes are adaptable for different applications and flavour combinations.
- Hot custard cremes: Powder preparations – just boil with water or milk and sugar to create tasty custard cremes, similar to traditional custards made from scratch.
- Cold custard cremes: High-quality powder preparations that are very easy to prepare. Simply mix with cold water and use in a wide variety of applications.
- Ready-to-use custard cremes: Versatile custard cremes, ready to apply before and after baking.

Fillings
Complete your desserts, cakes, pies and pastries with fillings that are as easy to use as they are delicious. From fruit fillings, made from the best seasonal fruits to versatile dry fillings that you can combine with other ingredients to create unique products.
- Fruit fillings and jams: Choose from fruit fillings that contain whole fruit, fruit concentrate, pulp or puree. Suitable for various applications, with a choice of different fruit percentages and the possibility to be preservative-free.
- Ready-to-use sugar-based fillings: A choice of fat-based fillings (that contain non-hydrogenated, certified palm oil or Shea butter) or water-based fillings. Our water-based filling flavours include lemon, caramel and chocolate. Fat-based fillings options include cocoa, coconut or white chocolate.
- Dry fillings: BakeFill is a neutral dry filling that you can combine with fruit fillings and flavours to create surprising and unique fruity or chocolatey filled pastries. PlusFill is a more premium dry filling, flavours include cinnamon, yogurt, almond and poppyseed.

Mousses and bavarois preparations
Our Fonds are flavoured bavarois powders that can be used with fresh or non-dairy creams. They’re designed to stabilise, gelatinise, flavour and sweeten cream and can be used in nearly any recipe. Simply mix the Fond with water and fold in the cream
for quick, delicious results.
Dawn offers an entire range of flavours, such as neutral, quark, chocolate, lemon and strawberry. Our Fonds show good solubility and stability, so end applications slice cleanly.
Our latest innovative addition to this category is the gelatine-free alternative. With no animal derived ingredients, the new gelatine-free Fond is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Flavourings and Compounds
We offer a wide range of flavourings, in liquid, powder and paste form. Our flavour pastes are called Compounds and they contain a high percentage of fruit puree or fruit juice concentrates. They add a real flavour boost to your bakery products and can be used in a variety of applications, such as mousses, bavarois, non-dairy creams, ice cream, filling for chocolates, butter cremes, batters and more.

Certified chocolate
Cocoa is one of our core ingredients. The Rainforest Alliance is an international non-profit organization that aims to protect forests, improve the livelihoods of farmers and forest communities, promote their human rights, and help them mitigate and adapt to the climate crisis.
At Dawn we are Rainforest Alliance Certified for our cocoa and chocolate ingredients, meaning that you will see the Rainforest Alliance seal on our products made with cocoa, on the label and in the product specification. The seal means that the cocoa was produced in a more sustainable way and through our certification we are supporting Rainforest Alliance in their efforts.

100% Cage-free eggs
Ahead of EU plans to ban eggs from caged hens by 2028, Dawn Foods Europe was the first company in the bakery industry to only use 100% cage-free (barn or free-range) eggs in its products. We can use free range eggs or specific types of eggs, based on your needs. Completely egg-free solutions are also feasible. Contact us to share your requirements and we can create a custom solution together.
Certified Palm Oil
As a company committed to Sustainable Palm Oil, Dawn Foods Europe has been an RSPO member since October 2011. We are very proud that, as of the end of 2015, all operations within Dawn Foods Europe* have been certified Mass Balance. This means that we source and sell RSPO-certified palm oil standard, in Mass Balance quality or Segregated quality.
You can see a statement on our product specifications that the product is produced with RSPO Mass Balance (or Segregated) palm oil.
*Our production facilities in Evesham (United Kingdom), Manage (Belgium), Darmstadt (Germany), Palmela (Portugal), Erquinghem (France), Steenbergen and Groningen (the Netherlands).
We can also offer other types of oils, such as rapeseed and sunflower. Contact us if you have specific requests.

Traceable product safety is critical to our production process and our commitment to you. To meet these requirements, Quality Control is an essential part of our culture and is fundamental to how we approach our business, every day.
Our quality management system is implemented according to ISO 9001: 2008 with the HACCP system. All of our facilities in Europe & AMEAP* are certified according to BRC.
