Recipe: Black Quinoa Rice Granola

Ingredients

3 3/4 cups black quinoa
5 1/2 cups Rice Krispies™ cereal
7 ounces honey
7 ounces maple syrup
3/4 cups brown sugar
3 1/2 ounces butter
Seeds of 1 vanilla bean 

Directions

In a large bowl, mix black quinoa and Rice Krispies cereal. Set aside.

In a saucepan, mix honey, maple syrup, brown sugar, butter and vanilla bean seeds, and bring to a boil. Pour wet mixture over dry ingredients and mix well.

Spread granola over three sheet pans and toast in a 325 F oven until golden, roughly 12 to 16 minutes, stirring every 4 to 5 minutes.

Cool and store in large deli containers.
