Make the yeast raised donuts according to directions on the bag. Fry, and let cool completely. Mix white flat icing with food colorings to make 3 colors: pink, blue, and purple. In a small mixing bowl, pour a very small amount each blue, pink, and purple flat icings in separate portions within the bowl. Dip donut in the center of the bowl and twist your wrist to swirl the icings. Allow icing to dry, then gently press edible gold leaf on each donut.
Once the icing colors get too muddy, just mix together and reserve your new purple icing for another use... and make another bowl for swirling!
