In a stand mixer fitted with the whip attachment, mix cake mix according to manufacturer’s instructions. Spray and paper an 8 inch round cake pan and deposit 12oz batter in 2 pans. Bake until golden brown and cake springs back lightly when touched. Let cool completely.
Mix together equal parts by weight sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and half & half for prepared milk. Weigh cake, pour the same weight prepared milk over cake and let soak in completely. Place one cake round on a cake board, spread with whipped topping and sprinkle with fresh sliced pineapples and strawberries. Place the other round on top, crumb coat and then ice with whipped topping. Decorate with sliced pineapple, fresh strawberries, and whipped topping, place sliced almonds on the sides of the cake.
