Nurturing a New Generation of Bakers 

As part of our continued commitment to nurturing a new generation of young bakers, Dawn Foods has partnered with University College Birmingham (UCB) and appointed two second year undergraduates, Vaishnavi and Marko. Over the next few months, the students will be busy developing new ideas around seasonal recipes, whilst sharing their insights and tips via blogs and podcasts!

Vaishnavi Vora  

Vaishnavi, second year student in Baking and Patisserie at UCB, is very interested in the science and technology part of the bakery industry and wants to develop in the R&D sector.

Her passion was sparked at a young age when she started helping her mother bake cakes at home. 

Vaishnavi loves cake decorating and baking cakes for family and friends.


Marko Josipovic  

Marko’s passion for bakery started when he was younger and tried making the cakes that his mother was baking.

Marko created his own blog and Instagram @marko_bakes where he shares his love for bakery and interest in food styling and photography.

Within bakery he enjoys making different patisserie products, enriched breads like cinnamon rolls and working with chocolate and finds his degree at UCB the perfect opportunity to develop his passion into a career in the industry.
