Mermaid & Pirate Cupcakes

Mermaid  and Pirate Cupcakes

COMPOSITION:

BASIC RECIPES:

1. Crème Cake Batter

Total 1900g 

2. Coloured Frosting

WORKING METHOD:

1. Crème Cake Batter

  • Mix all ingredients with a flat beater for 1 minute on slow speed and 3-4 minutes on medium speed.
  • Deposit @ 40g into cupcake cases.
  • Bake at 170°C in a deck oven for approximately 20 minutes.
2. Coloured Frosting
  • Make up small amounts of some coloured frostings (colour of your choice as appropriate for either mermaid or pirate themes - e.g blues and pink for mermaids, or orange and black for pirates.) using Dawn® Vanilla Frosting and a little food colouring. Mix the Dawn® Vanilla Frosting with a spatula until smooth.
  • Prepare a piping bag with a nozzle fitted. Coat the sides of the piping bag with the prepared coloured frosting, then fill the piping bag with the Dawn® Vanilla Frosting.
  • Pipe onto each cupcake, starting from the centre and working outwards in a spiral motion.
  • Personalise with your choice of decorations to create your mermaids and pirates!
  • Once all the cupcakes are finished, place them into the freezer for at least an hour.
